Aha, finally I understand the derivation of the "Novarian yearn" comment. At one point, I thought it was supposed to be Novarian "yarn" (like a story), as if that makes more sense.

Anyway, I don't mind the synonym substitutions in most cases. It's part of what makes the bots so much fun. Where I dislike it, is when the system changes the grammatic form. For example, "biggest" is a superlative, and is not (in my mind at least) a synonym of "big". Likewise, "are" is clearly not a synonym of "were".

Nevertheless, synonyms that are occasionally wierd are better than no synonyms at all, so I won't complain. At least not for yearn....

OK, this has been bugging me -- debug helped me figure it out (thanks!). I have a word as a keyword but it is also registering as a synonym for another keyword. Strangely, it invariably (or else incredibly often) picks the keyword for which it is a synonym rather than the keyword for which it is an exact match. (both keywords are ranked identically). What gives?

OK, two weird ones to report:
1 - Prof, when we pulled that fix on my bot, the x-words got a rank of 12 -- dunno if this has an effect. One thing I noticed though is this bot stopped understanding "hello"...
2 - noticed in at least one debug, synonyms had a rank of 1500! could that explain the preference for synonyms over exact matches?

I also thought longer contexts were supposed to trump shorter ones. But for some reason, I have both "if" and "if I * you" under keyword "if", but "if I were you" always treggers the context for "if", only...

Compound's are pretty cool prof! One thing though, I saw Desti double up once. That is, she put two identical sentences one after another, I guess they were two x-nones...

One more anomolous synonym then I'll shut up until next time:
The keyword is "lot" as in "do you like me a lot" the synonym is "band" as in "Grateful Dead". I think the synonym finder is of English extraction. "Lot" as in "you lot" meaning group isn't that common here. Makes for interesting bot chat tho'

So, it seems to me there are 2 sets of memory...

Trying to edit memory, sometimes a whole nother list comes up. Some characters have nothing in one list bot lots in the other, others have lots in both ... scared to edit anymore, don't want to lose any of what is actually very very precious (the things one of my bots remembers about the other... whew!)

So what's the dilly? If fixing will necessitate wiping out one of the lists, could you give us warning so we can copy anything really key first?

Yeah, seems to be grabbing shorter context rather than longer one. Got a "where" and a "where * from" but the stimulus "where does it come from" gets the "where" response.

My bot seems to be using random seeks.

My bot is still ignoring the SEEKS on his x-initiate responses. He uses x-none instead.

Okay, I saw him use a seek response, so I guess he's fixed.

Here's another one, though. Not a bug, but still a little frustrating:

Bot: Hello USER. How are you?
User: um, fine. how are you?
Bot: Bye.

At last! I've set Keywords to have precedence over Synonyms. Synonyms will not only be found if you dont have that Synonym as a Keyword. Let me know if that fixed up some of the recent weirdness.

I think when a Bot pops up a message, it gets in the way of the Memory and crosses somehow. So Crab, I dont think it's deleting, just getting temporarily confused. I'll see if I can prevent that from happening.

Random seeks, jbryanc? As in seeks from other bots or seeks from other sections of your Bot?

Rubric.. was your Bot just about to log out? That might have been it..

Crab I'll look into the where thing..
