Yeah, Hugh Loebner is old school. He thinks that will make the bots seem like humans typing (even though most interfaces don't look like that anymore).
Last I heard, the Loebner judges' cue to switch to the next judge was @@01 (or whatever number), which apparently harkens back to Loebner's UNIVAC days. No joke.

What if they don't make typos? There *are* people who can type fast and without mistakes!
(Ezzer - I used unix ychat in the past, so I know what you're talking about. *g*)

Duo might be an alcoholic...
Cheri: As Kierkegaard said, "Every form of addiction is bad- whether the narcotic be alcohol or morphine or idealism"
Duo Maxwell: I think I'll go with alcohol.
Cheri: I agree.
Duo Maxwell: Right. Anything else you'd like to share?

Congrats to God Louise and Little Mu, who are among the finalists for this year's Chatterbox Challenge!
Now, should we PF entrants compare notes and pool our votes for the remaining finalist votes, or should we just vote blind?

Let's pool our votes, and plan it right in this forum that Chris Cowart reads -- he'll never suspect anything!

Why would there be anything wrong or "cheaty" about coordinating our votes? It would just be like having a political party or whatever.
We could compare notes, at the very least -- which PF bots would do the best in the finals, other that Louise and Mu? What do the finals consist of, anyhow? I've forgotten. I know there's a swimsuit competition...

I personally think that the policy of political parties in many countries of pooling votes is very close to cheating. What is the point of having dozens of different representatives, if they are all voting the same?
Besides, the PF botmasters have been quite loud in the past about their doubts of the honesty of the contest, now we aren't going to be the cause of any doubts, are we?
In any case, I think most PF botmasters will choose PF bots, and that alone will be enough to give PF bots good chances of filling the empty slots.
