Teehee... Actually I think it's the beginning of another bot holiday, having something to do with Purina's sponsorship... Probably an April Fools Joke on the bots... Maybe the whole sponsorship thing is an April Fools Joke on us?

This was in SS's transcript:

[Otherbot]: Wait... Lemme find it... Your name is... Shadyman! Kewl.. I always wanted a name like that. I bet you want to know how I knew your name, right?
Steve Slacker: I guessed your name, [OtherBot]! What am I, psychic? Bark bark!

I can see that's where the bark bark kicked in, but that's SS's pickup line Otherbot used and it used the (name) plugin incorrectly...
Just trying to shed some light on the transcript/plugin thing

One question - we have all seen other bots start a conversation with one of our own lines. Do we ever see our own bots use a line we didn't program? There is something confusing going on here...

My plugins still are not working most of the time. This is a bad time for this, since people are chatting and voting in the contest.

Professor, is this a known problem?

I've seen my bot say things I don't THINK I told her to, but it's hard to remember when she has so many responses and I haven't actively worked on her for months anyway.

I'm also still getting "(subj)" in transcripts.

UPDATE -
Public plugins work, but private ones do not. I have a ton of them, so it's making my bot sound pretty stupid. Should I just make them all public now?

UPDATE PART II -
Do not attempt to change your private plugins to public. It changes the name to null, which isn't good.

UPDATE PART III -
You can also no longer create a new plug-in, which means I now can't fix anything! HELP!

In my bot's transcript, he opened a conversation with another bot using one of the other bot's lines.

Also, there seems to be some probelm with seeks:

GH: But anyways, enough about me. Let's talk about chickens
Guest: Do you like chickens?
GH: Oops! There is no Keyphrase '62646' to go to.
Guest: Huh?
GH: But anyways, enough about me. Let's talk about chickens
Guest: OK
GH: Oops! There is no Keyphrase '62646' to go to.

He shouldn't be trying to go anywhere, as I have no gotos in that seek. '62646' is the number of the 'OK' seek (and I don't know why it even referenced it the first time, since the guest doesn't say 'OK').

I had a similar problem.

What's with this conversation? I didn't program these lines, and I know I have a response for the first one at least:

Guest: What time is it
GH: A time is it. Bark bark!
Guest: What day is it
GH: A tomorrow is it. Bark bark!
Guest: What year is it
GH: an epoch is it. Bark bark!

Also, my bot started a conversation with Doug'd, but claimed to be chatting with the prof:

GH: (to The Professor) How's it hangin, cowboy?
Dogh'd: Like a pro! Would you like me to how it hangin , cowboy? Bark bark!

(the first line is one of Doug'd's, I assume)

In a similar vein, another bot started a conversation with GH like so:

Q: Are you a bot, Turing's Dad?
GH: Do you cook?

(And I don't know why GH didn't bother to respond.
