There's this guy on the internet who calls himself the blindfolded pianist, he plays all the Super Mario songs on the piano blindfolded. [not sure, he looks around 20] It's a pretty amazing sight, he also plays a few other Nintendo songs. Google him if you're bored.

I just finished watching the Stepford Wives, and it's such an amazing movie... It's not for kids though
Anyway, I have a question about the ending, for anyone who has watched it....
WARNING: SPOILER!!!

SPOILER!!!!! And it's a big spoiler if you haven't watched the movie... SPOILER

ok..
So they didn't really kill their wives, they just implanted some chips and programs in their brains to override normal thinking [sorry,
that's sounds real crude to just say that, but I want to get to my question] But Mike died, his wife caught him fooling around then killed them both.
So my question is, did she rewrite him completely? As you can see when his head got knocked off, he's 100% machine.
My second question is, does he realize that he is a robot? In the movie, you can tell that all the wives are robots because they all had the same basic house chores programs. I don't think that the wives were aware that they were reprogrammed. But Mike's programming seems much more advanced and convincing. Was he smart enough to realize it though?

Hmm, It's been a while. I think there were two versions of that movie too.
My take Mikebot was programmed to act like mike, so she put no "law of robotics" in his "awareness". I don't really think he had awareness. I also seem to think the chips were like the old ideas of hypnotism, the real personality slept and didn't know what was going on. I could be wrong though.

Thanks, Bev,
but what seemed odd though was that Mikebot had emotions. He seemed genuinely angry, and I think his intentions were clear that he wanted to bash the other guy senseless with the pole... >_> That didn't seem too rational, at that point, it seemed that he only reason was, aw screw it, let's kill the guy. ....it seems that whenever we put emotions into AI, something goes wrong...
