I find shoes talking to each other just...wrong. I mean, if hats talked to each other like you shoes are, what would this world be coming to!?

It might be okay if it's a sorting hat. Everyone who wonders where they belong should have access to one.

What about a Mad Hatter?

That was always my favorite Alice in Wonderland character. I don't know why.

I can think of a few reasons...

I can't wait until text-to-speech and speech-to-text technology improves. I got a deaf relay phone call tonight for the first time, and it was just awful! I would be so frustrated if that was the only way I could make a simple phone call.

This lady just wanted to call the place where I work and find out how late we were open, but she kept getting hung up on. The person nearest the phone heard the relay operator's introduction ('This is blah blah, do you know blah blah blah') and since it was very loud in the room, she (employee) could only conclude that it was a telemarketer and had a few choice words about that.

Well, this lady called back later when it wasn't utter chaos and the music wasn't so loud as it had been , and wanted to know who she'd spoken to before who had 'discriminated against my deafness.' I felt so bad.
