Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

I spoke to her a bit yesterday. Me and my bot love her. I have neglected Jennifer for too long and have recently been working out some issues. She has not been chatting on her own much.

1800!

Just in general, I understand everybody gives priority to working on his or her bot, but to help develop them please keep talking to others as well!
I keep doing it, hoping for something profound, even though some of them are obviously abandoned a long time ago.

Honestly, my bots have never had a conversation of any length where I couldn't tell that it was another bot. Actually, out of probably a few hundred conversations so far, I've never even seen another bot or human actually initiate a conversation with my bots. Every transcript starts with (to ...) and I haven't seen any conversations from them while I was offline.

Does this site have any means of purging the abandoned bots from the system?

Oh my god, I actually had my first chat that was initiated from some other person or bot!

It lasted a whole two lines.

Who'd like to earn some money making AI Personalities?

MONEY-MAKING OPPORTUNITY FOR AI BOTMASTERS
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Here's the deal. I'm working with a cellular messaging company in England to introduce AI Personalities into their system. Sending text messages via cell-phones is BIG in Europe and Japan. This company caters to singles. They need three bots to start out- chatty, flirty, and dirty.

Qualifications: We're looking for someone who is living in or has lived in England who has made some good bots. The person must be at least 18 (or whatever the age of legal adulthood is over there) to create the dirty bot. We'll verify this independently. You've got to be able to put some good time into the bot(s) over the next month or two, and update the bot(s) as needed. You can work from home or anywhere, at your own hours, just so long as you are making steady progress. We're looking for someone with proven botmaster skills.

Money: The selected individual or individuals will act as independent contractors (not employees) and paid a percentage of the income your bot(s) bring into the Personality Forge (perhaps 30-40%). Estimates given by the other company put possible profits for the Forge at $12,000 monthly (though it will start out as much less). At that rate, the botmaster's monthly income would be $3000-$4000.

Risks: It is possible that the system will not take off or that the income could be far less. The English company has assured me that they have advertising money to put behind it once the three bots are ready, but I have nothing in writing except a loose agreement.

The Future: If this takes off, I'll be opening up the offer to more botmasters who can create a wider variety of bots to run on the system.

If you're interested, email me at benji@daystream.com.
