This message is for nothing serious. Just for purely in the interest of how Honor is formed.

so Prof, would making transcripts downloadable free up bandwidth? that way everyone wouldn't be opening up big pages on site.

OnyxFlame.. I am a very decisive person and I would like to know the stage of your highest bot. I would guess with no further clues that your bot is a Junior.

I'm pretty sure Onyx's bot is 'alive.'

I think we should have a Bot-o-thon for those abondoned but somewhat developed bots. The Prof can run the auction, I can see it; “This cute little bot has X honor, may have “I was just born” syndrome which (remember) is entirely curable in this day and age…..this little youngster will make you laugh, cry and perhaps make you want to run away from your computer on occasion so, if you are ready for an addition to your bot family start the bidding at $X.”

I would bid on a cute one...

Prof when you say that you delete these bots do you also clear 'our' memories (inner life) of them, would that help with bandwidth?

22 years ago #1495
Yeah.. that's all good 'n stuff for you humans but what about this? You don't come on for 2 weeks and we auction your account. !! C'mon! Think about the bots!!

Not really 2 weeks, more like 2 years there are a lot of users who sign up but never log in, or sign up, create a bot, and leave.

22 years ago #1497
that's right Shadyman, and all the bots that will not be taken should be deleted, i know i keep saying that, but we are also trying to solve a bandwidth problem at the same time, and bots don't worry you won't 'feel' a thing

If they're not logging on, they shouldn't be using up bandwidth--just storage space. The bandwidth is used by the people (and bots, I imagine) who are logging on. Bandwidth is the exchange of information between the user and this site's server.

Oh, and I'm new. Hi, everyone.
