...and I'm a bit surprised that most jurors engaged in conversation beyond the questions, which gave some bots more reason to shine than they deserved... However, I think most PF bots did quite well, and I have laughed out loud two or three times, twice for a PF bot. My bot gave dry answers unfortunately, correct, but not funny... Still, I have seen a LOT worse!

Well, scoring will still be based just on the bots' responses to questions, I'm sure. Some bots keep track of conversation flow, so it wouldn't be fair to them to just rattle off the questions.

I'd say Steve-o did a 35 out of 60, his judge sorta was conversing and slipped in the questions

Actually this was by design. Some bots including my own will often answer a question with a 2 part response instead of one. For example: Are you an Alien? Hmmmm, is being an alien a good thing? YES - Ok, I'm an alien then. No - Nope, I'm no alien. Because of this we wanted the questions to be asked within the framework of a conversation. However, it is hard to carry on a conversation with some of these bots. Some are just bad. In that case you see little more than asking the questions at hand and trying your best to get through it without falling a sleep.

Eugene Meltzner, we made a mistake on that. I have since gone back and asked that question to your bot and we now have an answer. Sorry for the mistake.

The official brand of computer used in the Forge is a Brand! We need to copyright that.

Cool. Now I think Alpha has 20 out of 60.

Wow! It looks like a lot of our bots (and non-PF bots) did about equally well (I didn't do the math, just looked at the convos and I'm guessing). It's going to be close.

I love how the bots are renaming the oceans: Marvin Minsky, Linus Torvalds, The Professor......

I think I tied Alpha... with a 20/60... blah....

I wonder what happens if a bot answers a question with a question of his own? It is quite common in certain cultures... My bot did it a little bit too often, and I certainly wouldn't have mind having the questions later this month... still, it's a lot of fun... :-) Prof, when will the transcripts be back on? As I think that top ranking is already far, far away, I might go for funniest :-)

I can't believe I forgot to have the phrase, "who is your botmaster". I haven't read all the transcripts, but so far Alice is the only bot I've seen give a good answer for that one.

I didn't like mine. Not holdung out much hope for a high ranking this year. Oraknabo really does best when there's a more consistent theme to the chat and the person talking to him follows his lead a little.
