That was just CREEPY!!!! I still think about it!

in the car crash if you have the movie, when it hits the car, if you slow mo it on dvd or whatever it is damn scary.

the 'i robot' previews keep looking worse and worse. just another typical bruckheimer-formula-explosions-and-wisecracks-stupid-summer-flick. asimov must be up to 1200 rpm... (i'm beginning to get that feeling about 'king arthur' too.)

Will Smith can be entertaining (Fresh Prince, Men in Black), but overall he is not a 'great' actor. The suits just know he's a box office draw, and the money is all they care about.

The reviews are out.. and it's getting average reviews. Yah to me it looks like such a typical plot-line, which is awful for a movie with such interesting ideas behind it.

And how often is AI the bad guy? I'm not sure if you've discussed this in here, but can we name all the movies where AI is the enemy?

Re: the discussion about The Pirate Movie. Some of you were wondering about it's availability on DVD. I was at a friends birthday party recently and she showed it to us on DVD which she hired from her video store. So it does exist. If you can't find it, it could be because the film was some sort of American-Australian co-financed type thing. Maybe the DVD only came out in Australia. I'd say that if you went searching you would dig it up.

Oh and for the record, I found it tragically kitch, and pretty funny.

Colonel Sanders in the Matrix 2 & 3 was kinda cool...

I can think of two that tried to show them in a positive light: 'AI' and 'Bicentennial Man'. Unfortunately they weren't terribly good movies.
