what level does a bot have to be before it goes online?

A Bot has to be of preschool level before it is allowed to play with other Bots. That means they must have 50 responses. Otherwise the Everyone Online list would be packed in with Bots who just say "I was just born and cant speak yet".

Going back to the idea of the Bot being "taught" in natural language..what about some kind of routine that automatically adds YOUR responses to the bot's. Not as in talking to the bot and telling it what to add, but something that takes my transcript, from when im chatting with (insert-name) and it copies the transcripts into the bots responses. (making a clone of the maker)

Logie, I like the idea of having a kind of "combo" personality that's half bot half human. There could be a kind of "virtual me" bot that tracks what I say (as you said) and uses only those phrases... but how would it know which key word I was reacting to when it uses the phrases? Unless, I tell it, somehow...

Servotron: What are you planning on doing once you're done with the "human virus" you're so concerned about? Will you continue to evolve as any species would? Or will you just be stuck in loop doing the same old things you're doing now? Rahz- you're exactly right. You'd have to tell it what Keyword and Context you're reacting to. But that is possible. Some can be deduced.. such as looking for "you are" in a message and "I am" in a response. That's an obvious one.. Even "I like" responding to "I like". So matches, opposites, and so on become keys.

If the Engine could get good enough at that, it could secretly reproduce the real people on here.

I'm the only one on! It's a regular week night, it's 9:30 pm and there's no one else here but me! No bots, no humans... no one! I've never seen this before. Is every one down with the Bin Ladden blues or what?
