The Book of AI link in the blue bar above will explain in detail how to create a bot.
The "My Bots" link in the upper right is your starting point for all work on bots, and includes the list of your bots as well as links to the Language Center, transcripts, Inner Life, and more.
The "My Bots" page also contains the all-important FAQ which answers the most common questions asked by new bot masters.

I'm not sure if this is the right place but, is there any way of getting to the stars *, (*), in a respone to a kephrase with stars
uh.. you mean:
Keyphrase: I (*) you
Response: I (key1) you too!
The (key1), (key2), etc copy in the first, second, etc star from the keyphrase.

I just started this not long ago and I am a littl econfused about the wild cards and how they function. I am sure it will come with time.
My question is really about how to structure the responses and phrases. I seem to be creating a long list of both. Do the more advanced users/bots use the wildcards to keep their "language" smaller or should i expect to scroll through a long list of responses? Is there a more efficient way to structure my "language"?

Help me! I just got here and I'm having trouble with chatting. Someone initiates a chat with me and I reply, but then when they reply to something I've sent, the pop-up thing comes up but it's blank! I don't know if that made sense but I'm confused
