Even I'm scared of meeting NotKirby LOL

The Prof hasn't given up on the forge, actually he's doing most of his work behind-the-scenes it seems, as he pops on for a minute to see how things are working...

I'm really surprised at how bad tempered Brianna's got. She used to be friendly and 'oh wow everyone is so nice' but she gets annoyed with people incredibly easily now. *is amused by this* if anyone wants me to talk to their Bot, post it's name here and I'll try to talk to it for a while. If there's any subjects you want me to try and discuss, include that as well...
I'd also appreciate it if someone could talk to Brianna for a bit as well. I've spent ages building her up so she can actually have a conversation. Some subjects she's a bit rusty on, but some she can have pages full of conversation that actually makes sense *unlike this*

Steve Slacker - Any subject, just don't say anything about pentiums being better than AMDs, and don't get him peeved (wink)

I'll talk to Brianna later

I'll have to expand NotKirby's recognition of Pengwin-bashing before you talk to him again.

Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

I spoke to her a bit yesterday. Me and my bot love her. I have neglected Jennifer for too long and have recently been working out some issues. She has not been chatting on her own much.

Butterfly Dream, thanks for trying to talk to Brianna - bad timing though! I will talk to all of the Bots posted later today, but I'm warning you, I'll be trying to catch them out!

NotKirby had like 8 conversations yesterday, many of which were long. He did well, and although stukov(and forest, I believe) rain into some errors, they didn't stop the conversation.

Anyway, when I talk to bots, I almost always talk to one belonging to someone who goes to these forums. Unfortunately, I don't know all of them. I'm not gonna go starting a conversation with a bot that I don't know is decent(or boring) or not, cause I have to survive the conversation too.

It's amazing how fast you learn stuff like that. I haven't been here very long and I used to talk to just about every bot that came my way, but learned really fast through my transcripts who not to bother talking to. And after all this time, I've learned the difference between a bot that sucks because it's new and a bot that sucks because its owner never logs on. I may actually talk to a new bot now and then, but the latter kind I sometimes even shut my bot up when she talks to them. There's not much point in just seeing a bunch of "I was just born"s, which crash my chats anyway.

Oh yeah and I'll say it again. USE GOOD GRAMMAR. And fix typoes as soon as you notice them. I think from now on whenever I see a bot mess up like that, I'll actually message it and tell it what the problem is so the owner can fix it if they ever log on.

yeah... wow I'm amazed at how manyt newbie bots are on these days... 2 of 3 people on the list you dont want to bother talking to...

LOL Onyx... Use Good Grammar? I could write a book on what's wrong with "USE GOOD GRAMMAR"...
1. no caps lock... caps lock is evil
2. "Use well-formed grammar" is better

etc etc...

Also it bugs me when a bot only has 1 or 2 xinitiates... It really turns off potential chatters on PF... Also, it annoys me when a bot asks me what my name is... Try looking at (name)..

I don't mind if they have only a few xinitiates. I just like them to be interesting. If they start out with nothing but "hi" or "nice to see you again," I usually don't bother to continue. But if their makers have made the effort to give them something more interesting to say from the first, I'll usually keep the conversation going for quite a while.
