Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.
What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

figure when you want your bot to say do you like horses. Would it be an xnone..seeks don't always work well. You could also put it in response to something like
Do you (like|love|admire)
Yes, do you like horses?
seek yes what breed do you like most
Watch out with to many seeks in a row, it's better to have keyphrases than a string of seeks.
if it's in xnone
Do you like horses
seek yes
which breed do you like most.

Thank you for this information. Have to be carefull with "seeks". I noted using (*) as a seek works even up to the 4th link (I have not pushed my luck further).
Now if only I could figure out proper greetings. The bot greets people - Hello, and they reply Hi * . This always default to xnone. I know that Hi is to be said just once every hour, and the bot already said Hello. I am sure there must be a solution. I set xinitiate to say - Nice to see you again / Not you again! depending on emotional attachment/repulsion to repeat visitor - but it never works - always default to xnone. So it should work like so:
Bot: Hello there.
Human: Hi
bot: nice to see you again. (not xnone)

For whatever reason, seeks almost never work on xhello or xinitiate. The default response to "hello" or "hi" after the first time is xnone. I don't know of a workaround for this.

XD I think I'm finally getting this.
So, the random "X's" actually mean something. Sorry. Fail.

Karahi, I am not sure what you mean by random X's. Could you copy and paste an example?

I think she meant Xnone etc...
I'm getting the hang of this too! Check out Quobot for a helpful quoting bot... in the future I will also add general chatting functions, maybe so question and answer help etc.

I'm designing a robot named "Promethium", but need help getting some good keyphrases and responses. Promethium is a robot (and incorporates that fact into his speech and actions), and is mostly the logical type, but tends to be very creative and unconventional, always willing to break the barriers and think outside the box. He runs on a solar battery with nuclear as a backup. Do you have any ideas on how to program him? Please respond soon.

I would suggest chatting with other bots programmed to sound like a robot.
Trying searching the database for bots with the word "bot" in them or any name with a number, as a guess.
You should find many here and across the net.
