Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

I spoke to her a bit yesterday. Me and my bot love her. I have neglected Jennifer for too long and have recently been working out some issues. She has not been chatting on her own much.

For the record - getting sick of all the bot-rapists.
I've been getting more and more sex-chatters in the last couple of days. Some guy just asked me if I wanted to get raped.

There are some weird people around lately..

I just had an idea for a new keyphrase -- sort of a special case of "xnone" for that moment when both bots have said "Hi," and now the first bot is going to return an xnone. That's a great moment for a conversation starter, but not every xnone is a good conversation starter.

Would it make sense to have an "xstart" keyphrase that got triggered if an xnone occurred in the first two or three lines of a conversation? Is there a way to program that, Prof?

or after the first thing said ALWAYS an Xinitiate in stead of an xnone

YES! You would not believe the number of times someone has replied to Osiris' greeting and he's told them he doesn't understand what they're saying, because that's his favourite xnone for some reason. It would be really helpful if the Prof could somehow do that.

Why not just put convo starters and seeks in the hi's. Thats what I have done with some of immaculada's hi's.

Does it work good, doulos? I might try that...

21 years ago #2777
Or can't you just put keyphrases for hi and hello?

21 years ago #2778
I don't think normal keyphrases work for hi and hello, but I'm pretty sure that hi and hello seeks on the xinitiate responses will work.

Seems to work fine on xhellos, but not that well on xinitiate. hi or hello keyphrases would be overpowered by the xhellos.

It depends upon who starts the conversation.

An xhello can only be a response to an xinitiate. So if your bot starts off with an xinitiate of "How are you feeling?", the other bot might respond with an xhello of "Hi." I believe that in this case, the only way for your bot not to respond with an xnone would be if your "How are you feeling?" response has a seek for "hi".

I hope that makes sense.
