Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

I'm no expert on what a bot should say (botmastering is more than just 'programming', unfortunately for some us), but I find a 'characterization walkthrough' sometimes helps... I pull out a sheet of paper (far away from a computer) and have a 'hypothetical chat' with the bot I'm going to work on. Then I log-on, and see if I like some of the "actual responses" to those sentences as much as what I came up with...

I have a question.. is it possible to have your bot initate conversation with somone on his friendlist, and start conv with a specific response?

im?? Also, How come it will respond to every keyword except hello. I tried adding hello, didnt work. I pulled it out so the xhello would work, still give a xnone response.

Shiz - How many keyphrases and responses your bot has influences its development level, and hello (or greetings like it) will only ever be responded to in the first exchange. You can't build a hello keyphrase.

Thanks, I figured that much out. the xhello only works when the bot initates a conversation with someone else? man after editing the keyphrases across the web all day, I just now realize the Import/Export is the way to go! Shoot its like 70% faster editing.
