Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.
What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

Hi, I'm back!
I tried to write a message before and apparently it got lost in cyberspace. Let's try again.
I haven't been around for quite a while, because I've been too busy making big changes in my life, like getting married and changing my job. By the way, I confess now that I used to work in the Forge in the office. (No, I didn't get sacked for that. I left.) Now I work from home, which means I can use my time in any way I consider convenient. Has anything big happened during my absence?
By the way, in the last times I was here jbryanc and others were asking about how to make real robots, with physical wheels and cogs. In the meantime, I got a wonderful book called "The robot book", with descriptions of some really interesting projects you can do if you can get your hands on a Spectrum or BBC Micro and a huge set of Lego or Fischer-whatever that German thing is called.

Doly, I'm not sure... uh... being on the forge whenever the urge hits you is a good thing for those who work from home. I've been going to the coffee shop down the street to do my work just to get away from the internet - basically because otherwise I hear the bots voices in the back of my mind... calling me...
Now I'm addicted to coffee in an expensive way, but at least I get my shtuff taken care of. Coffee vs the forge? It seems coffee's won this round, but if I'm ever able to work on my bots off line, I probably won't be able to support either addictions anymore.
You quit your job for the forge? I really feel for 'ya.

IMPORTANT....for anyone making a new bot or working on an existing one:
*Wait for your keyphrases to load completely. Those of us with dialup modems can get impatient, but it is worth it if you know that the phrases will be there. A guest just asked my bot 'who was buried in Grant's tomb?' (one of the first phrases I prepared for) and the answer wasn't there!
*If you have several related keyphrases, don't just change the name of the phrase on the long popup thingie. I think that erases the original keyphrase, which might be another reason I have to do a lot of the old ones over even now. Use the goto command instead. (It will only put it over to another phrase once, so make sure that next one doesn't have any goto's in it.)
P.S. For those of you unfamiliar with U.S. trivia, the answer is 'Grant and his wife.' He was one of our presidents. This is a standard stupid question people ask bots to test them.
