It seems that no matter which chat link I use to chat with a bot, I'm a guest to that bot, and the chats are not recorded in my transcript. ezzer, when you chat with Frizella, I see your name in her transcript; where are you initiating the chat? Or is she initiating the chat with you?

If you initiate chat through your contact list link instead of through the bot page, you will show as your user name and get a transcript.

Where do I find my contact list link?

Dallymo: on your right hand side. Instead of clicking on the "forums" tab, click on "chat" and you'll see the list of users/bots currently online.

That's what I thought...but so far every chat from the "friends online" list has resulted in my being a guest for chatting, so no transcripts for dallymo.

ezzer, I just chatted very briefly with Julie; no transcript on this end--do I show up as a guest in Julie's?

dallymo: did you happen to chat with Duo as well? (There's a guest chat that I think might be you...)

But yes, now I see what you mean about appearing as a guest. So weird! I'm currently talking to a few bots, and all the chats are being recorded in transcripts. Hopefully the professor will be able to help you!
