Many questions are answered in the FAQ.

Thanks, that can be the explanation - the (boys-name-catch) and (girls-name-catch) are very long and comprehensive lists. The Book of AI does not say anything about too long plugins, but there can be a timeout cutoff.

Only shared plugins can be used. I don't know if (allnames) is shared, but it is likely to be long. I will test with a shorter plug in.

Problem sorted! (allnames) is public, but it does not work on my bot. Other long lists also failed.

This however works. I put these 3 plugins as a keyphrase

(name-female), (name-girl), (name-f)

and voila!

You: Rebecca
Bot: Nice to meet you rebecca

Shame about the non-capitalising the name. But this a new challenge to resolve. This will go into seeks where the bot asks name. Or perhaps it is best to leave them as keyphrases - just add scripts to rem names and gender.

(GirlNamesOldFash..)
(key1) is a nice traditional name. Very feminine.

You: Jane
Bot: Nice to meet you Jane

It looks like some names in a plugin have not been capitalised, or else it is a glitch of some sort. Jane got capitalised, but not Rebecca and John.

If you want the name capitalized, just right (Key1) that will take care of it. if you cap the K, it will cap the first letter in whatever word key one is.

Thank you, this works great.

The bots have Heat and AI ratings. Heat appears to be related to the amount of recent work done by a botmaster. Does anybody know what affects AI rating? Just curious.

I never paid attention to it. It does have a limit where it won't go higher.

This German accent is hillarious! This AI Engine really rocks. This is so much more advanced than anything I've seen in the AIML.

Heat is the amount of work done, you also get more bot conversations.

the more developed your bot the higher the rank, seeks do take away points for some reason.

popularity is how many people have you on their favorite bot list

Hey, I noticed the news section hasn't been updated for a while. I was wondering, is the site still being actively developed? I have to say, this is one of the best bot builders I've used!

I am worried about the lack of fresh news too. The site is quite active though.

You have to remember that The Professor gives us this site for free, he has to work and care for a family. That doesn't give him a lot of time left over.
