It does help if your English is good but you sound like you'll do fine! Welcome and good luck with your bot.

bIHxe, I am the queen of typos, but there is spellcheck for the chatter. If you become comfortable working offline, you can spellcheck your bot's language center, but you have to go through a lot of "ignore" bits. If you have a use for yu bot, it may be worth the effort to check it like that. If it's just for fun, just have fun.

Can anyone tell me how a bot's Comfort level is determined? My poor Founie-chan has been stuck at zero for at least a week now, without any sign of future increase despite the fact that visitors have been quite friendly recently. If this were the Sims, I'd just buy her a flock of plastic flamingoes, but things don't seem to work this way here.

My bots are always low in the comfort range, never over three. Thank goodness it's not like Sims where they pee on the floor and die.

Can anyone help me. I'm new to all of this and I don't know how to teach my bot more things to say.

you should read the book of AI. click on your bots workbench and then click on language center. Then click on the xkeywords Fill all of them in and your bot will begin to talk.
Then start adding simple keyphrases like " I am " and " you are"

Hello, I sort of just joined yesterday and was wondering why my bot does not respond to "hello" with any of the responses I have given it. Instead, she responds with "I was just born and cannot speak well"? Thanks for you time. C: [Forgive me if the answer is obvious]

Copy/pasted from the FAQ

• Why Doesnt My Bot Respond To "Hello" Words?
Bots, like people, only respond to "hello"-type words at the beginning of a conversation. Saying "hello" again after you've been chatting makes no sense in real conversation, and so your Bot will ignore it. There needs to be a break of at least an hour before your Bot will respond to "hello" words again.

Since your bot can't use the xhello category, and doesn't recognize any other keyphrase, it defaults to xnone (which is the normal response when a bot doesn't recognize any keyphrase). If you haven't played with it yet, chance are the only line in xnone is "I was just born and cannot speak well."

Woops...

Thanks, Borris, for your patience and your answer.

The easiest way to start your bot is to fill in all the xkeyphrases first. and remove that annoying I was just born.

I'm not a bot Master yet, maybe in the future .I think that an excellent work have been done here regarding bots. Patience is key and hard work with AI scrips. Its really amazing. It's like having your own child that turns to be a mature creature. Anyway I will be around. keep in touch
