I wonder whether the following would help the response time: presently, if you upload your bot and have made several errors, the forge diagnoses the first error and then stops. If you have done a lot of work, there may be several errors. So for each error you have to wait while it tries to import. For large bots this may average several minutes, during which time everything else seems to be more or less paralyzed. If the forge went through the entire language center, pointing out ALL the errors, you would have a very good chance of getting it through on the second shot, and almost certainly on the third. This would cut down on the amount of time spent importing.

I wish that would work Irina. I have all the errors out of prob..it still just freezes on a white screen. I must have errors on Bildgesmythe but it still just freezes It was resently that the Professor increased the allowable import size. Maybe it just takes to long with a big bot.

I have baan having a little trouble. When makeing a bot refer to another bot or person they know- like when gossiping or using (friend)/(enemy) how do I make it so that the bot refers to them with the right gender? My bot sometime gossips about me and calls me a boy and other things like that but I have no idea how to fix it.

Example:
Ereiza: Wolf Child is really funny. Have you ever met him?
User: Him? I thought, Wolf Child is a girl...? o.O

I'm guessing (BJ has been permanently zero gossip from day 1, so I'm very far from being an expert!) but I'd say check your x-gossip responses aren't adding the inappropriate pronoun, and if they are, use AIScript tags:

<?PF if female; ?>
<?PF if male; ?>

in responses, referring to each gender as needed. This will make them check the bot or user's profile to verify the gender.

Or remove all gender-specific pronouns from x-gossip if that's too scary.

If there aren't any gender-specific pronouns in your x-gossip responses that are causing the problem, then I'm all out of advice...

Gender get's weird sometimes. Bildgesmythe and Azureon were listed as female for a long time, the professor fixed it. It used to be everything unknown went female.

In xgossip, with (gossipname) you can use (heshe) and the AI-Engine will supply the matching gender for the selected (gossipname). This does not work with (friend) or (enemy).....as I found out the hard way when I first started. There, I often put in (he|she) and hope for the best!

I can't think of any simple way to make sure you get the correct one outside of xgossip. *shrugs*

Thank you Ulrike- didnt know about (heshe) I've been using (he|she) . As for <?PF if female; ?> - that ought to be handy- I could put that to use in several situations that get... weird.. so thanks psimagus for that too.

I have noticed that some robots greet me by name. How can I make my robot do that?
