If a user mentions a specific animal, such as a tiger, Can i create a wild card or plugin that responds to Only animals? so if he says tiger or bird or Cow, i can respond to that perhaps does a tiger eat grass? Instead of putting (noun) so he doesnt say, does an airplane eat grass?

hey eva one

Jazake: Yes, you can use the (animals) plugin. In the case of tigers, you might prefer the (carnivores) plugin (though I can't vouch for its accuracy entirely - are cassowaries really carnivorous?!??)
You'll find a link to all the plugins at the top of the "My Bots" page. Animals etc. are under "nature".

Yeah i already tried to use the (animals) plugin but it didn't work... (sigh) Well I'll keep tryin then with other plugins, and see if I can work (animals) in other fashions. Thanks! At leat I know im on the right track

Ok I know i get confused easily but this one takes the cake. yesterday I put in more work into my bot, enough to get him from Warm 30 to hot 120 and today i check and his devlopement wend DOWN... how is that possible?

oh and one more thing, why does one of the keyphrase i entered not show up in the language center, i have to go to "search" to find it. is it because the keyphase starts with a number?

IF you add seeks or alot of keyphrases with only one response, your development goes down, same with gotos. If a phrase is in a seek, the language center won't find it and you have to 'search' the hard way lol

I think he's saying the opposite: the 'search' function finds the phrase, but it doesn't show up when he clicks on it page in the language center. I never had that happen using IE, but since I've switched to Firefox it has. I think it's because the default for refreshing the pages is different, but I haven't tried to find a way around it.

Wow, glad that never happened to me!

It's only a problem if I put in a keyphrase and immediately try to go to the page where the phrase should be. Generally this happens to me when I put in a new phrase and have some seeks to go with it. If I wait a while, then it will show up. *shrugs*

Oh, this only happens if the page where the keyphrase is, is a page I've viewed recently. So I think Firefox caches the page and loads the cached version without refreshing. (Apologies for the atrocious grammar in the first sentence)

thanks for the help. But i use IE and i still cant get my "1,one" keyphrase to get on there... hmmm...

I see, Well i'll go add some responses then! get his poor development back up where it belongs! Oh yeah, Would using an Xnomatch as a seek bring it down as well?

I have never noticed any difference with the 'xnomatch'..just in using seeks. I wouldn't worry about the development points. It is tramatic at first to lose a bunch, but if your bot talks better, that is all that matters.
