I entered a phrase in Norwegian - most people here don't speak Norwegian, I guess - but he does not seem to be not picking up on it.

I'd stick with English, unless you want to use raw script. The AI Engine tends to transform foreign languages into word salad.

I have started reprogramming Sigurd from scratch - almost - and for some reason he now does not recognize "hello". Grr!

That is to prevent looping, bots saying hello to each other ad nauseam. So, he recognizes it only once...

I know, but I would expect him to say it once when I start a conversation off with "hi" of "hello"

I'll have a look at it tomorrow. I'm sure I'll figure something out.

try something like:

Dogh'd a beer, a pale ale beer [30,5]
get drunk thats your answer to everything
maybe if I get hammered I'll feel better

Theoreticly that should up the emotional state. You may have to include a few such phrases if the bot is really really pissed off.

Hmmm the indents didnt register on the responses: lines w/ "Get" and "Maybe" should be indented one tab if editing offline, or just input as responses if not.
