Hey Jack Bond! Sounds like your bot's getting along. Give it a purpose for existing, let it know it's own purpose. This may sound funny, but it will help. Sorry it didn't save the log.. MAN.. left all kinds of good stuff in there fer ya!
Check the book of AI as there are a sort of "if / then" genre of statements used with the memory scripts like: <?PF if female; ?> which allows a response to be said ONLY to females (theres chrono, emo, and such other basis for the conditionals as well)

I'm having trouble again. For no reason, JAKO's been saying "Sorry, there are no valid responses to choose from" at the beginning of each chat. I've checked that all of the emotion ranges are there but still nothing.
And he called me a girl (He really needs a checkup)

I figured out why he called me a girl. I never put in the Sex in the first place, they don't know if I'm male or female and I can't change it.
If a bot turns from hot to cool (or colder), it doesn't mean that it's getting less smart.
Hotness is an indicator of when updates has been made, and how much it's been updated.

Jack.. I was running into that problem throughout my whole conversation with JAKO. -no valid response.
The not valid response is from, (I think I know this)
Not having a case to handle the response. I read that if the bot comes back with not valid response, then it doesn't have a case which it can call up from memory to recognize. So all you have to do is just give it a case so it can respond to it. That's why I was suggeting to input into it it's purpose, function, and the basics of what you want. But the bot has to have the input of it's purpose, already stored in it's programming. You can't just tell it, it has to be programmed with it. After it's sufficiently programmed, then it'll start to work with you a little more. I've heard that these aren't neccessarily learning AI's.. but with the new memory features, I hope that will change.
Read up on Case Based Reasoning, Jack. The bots here use case base reasoning, CBR, and NLP.. if that helps any.. as far as the basic code, the code is not viewable, I don't think. However it is buit in to this server. You can script in what works, though.. But to understand the code and how it works, ... To be honest, I'm not even sure what code this server uses. I've asked the Professer, but he hasn't gotten back with me, yet. so.. Your guess is as good as mine.

Well, you CAN change it, but it's really expensive & involves some frightening surgical procedures...
