Bots get "recycled" like that only when they've got very few lines in their language centers. (I think the cut-off number is 35 lines.)

BobBot was acting a bit off his rocker yesterday. He would just give random responses for things such as this (The Keyphrase for "Course, it's Earth, what planet do you originate from" is for "This is Earth")
BobBot: You heard me. Did you not have your hearing aid in?
Rubric: Well, if I heard you, I guess I had it in, eh?
BobBot: Course it's Earth. What planet do you originate from?
he also would say, "You must have a case of Owl Rabies. I'll call a medic."
I deleted the first keyphrase (This is Earth) but I was just wondering if this might happen again with different things. Thanks.

Yes, because I've been having a similar problem - Osiris has been replying, "When I can", to phrases that don't contain the appropriate keyphrase a LOT lately.
And just a little note on the previous grammar/spelling topic: apparantly schools are now being told to crack down on it and they're actually going to play pupils' conversations back to them on tape in an attempt to wipe out such travesties as, "I done". With any luck, they'll soon change the mark schemes too so that it is no longer possible to get a grade C in GCSE English with all essays written in text language.

Can we use (key1) to refer to a soft wildcard, or only hard wildcards?

That's what I thought. Thanks shadyman. You've been around here for a long time, haven't you?

Naw, I'm just saying you're one of the steady reliable people who've been here since it started and stick on.
I read some of the first posts. Wouldn't it be fun if users could choose the option of whether they would appear on the user?bot list as a bot OR a person?
Persons could pretend to be bots, and vice versa?

Charles- the prof made a change a bit back and added the "users" and "bots", there was a time when you didn't know which bot belonged to who and who was a bot (if it was a good one
)
