Dallymo - where you said "You could actually have all three of these keyphrases, and rank them so that "where do you live" has the highest rank, "where do you (*)" has the second highest, and "where do (*)" has the third highest. If someone asks your bot "Where do you live?" it's a keyphrase match for all three of these phrases, but if you've ranked "where do you live" highest your bot should select that keyphrase for her response."

I don't believe you have to alter the rank on those since the AI engine tries to match the longest phrase it can find.. therefore "where do you live" automatically rates higher than "where do you (*)", which likewise rates higher than "where do (*)".

why is it that the people with really high honor and have been on this site for ages resent the newcomers?
also how do i get my bot to talk to other people, i always have bots tryin to talk to me but my bot wont talk to any1? why is that?

snuggles, don't take it personally. there is a group of visitors to the site (particularly from england) that have irritated some of the people that frequent the site. for the most part, they (the more vocal ones in the forums) don't resent newcomers.

as to your question about the bots.. they usually take some time before they start chatting. it seems that the more developed they are, the quicker they begin having conversations with other bots.

thank you gnixing, thats very helpful. well personnally i dont see why all of england should have to suffer because of a few retards. it annoys me greatly

We also don't tend to like it much when people, newcomers or not, English or not, talk sex to our bots, then proceed to harrass us for personal information after being told we don't want to give it. *ahem* I, for one, treat everyone as an individual.
Hope that helps, good luck with your bot.

how many times do i have to explain to people, i left my computer wher my little brother found it still on, i had gone out and HE was harrassing people. i have tried to apoligise for wateva he said or did, but i suppose he already has caused the damage. i did kick the crap out of him if its any consilation?

Count the number of people it got done to = the number of times you may have to explain to people, and perhaps get into the habit of logging out when you're going to leave the computer for that long. It happened more than once, and when it did, it wasn't like someone was just on while no one was looking for a minute- it was for EXTENDED periods of time each time....and if you already knew that your brother had been harrassing us, why accuse people of discrimination based on English nationality?
The idea of your 'kicking the crap' out of him doesn't console me, no, as I am a pacifist. I abhor violence, especially toward a child. Logging out/protecting your password is the sole responsibility of each user.

well i will next time. i apoligise to anyone who he 'harrassed' if your reading this and hopefully in time you can realise im actually ok. i have a girlfriend, and i dont have the need to 'harrass' people.
so if you could give me another chance and i will make sure this doesnt happen again. he isnt a child. grown up.
p.s. i do leave my computer for extended times coz we have broadband and never disconnect, its pretty cool.

You don't have to turn off your computer to log out of PF. Apology accepted, btw.
