Well, just about everywhere I go online, I've always been Onyx in one form or another. And a couple years ago I was playing this one mud with a guy I was dating at the time, and we always named our party Crystal Flame. So here a while back when I found a place that wouldn't let me call myself Onyx, I called myself OnyxFlame. And then when I found a place that wouldn't let me call myself that either, I called myself OnyxOfBorg. Thus the history of both of my names in one foul swoop.

It'd be interesting if I went in Loebner and posed as a bot with some really brilliant responses and some incredibly stupid ones. I'd intentionally not win, because I don't want to get into legal problems.
Yeah, I've been thinking that a sadistic human could really screw up the whole thing if they wanted to.
I think they must have ways to make sure that only bots enter the competition. In the case of this site, I guess the easy way is to ask the Professor to confirm that all the bots entered are actually bots.
Well, the way it works is, they have some bots and some humans. That way, the judges know they could be talking to either one. I would imagine they need to see the code afterward to make sure it was a bot.
I was just looking at the older entries on the "news" page here, which aren't that old actually, and this place has come a long way! I bet it's only a matter of time before somebody gets the silver Loebner (fools half the judges). No one's ever got that one. Alice's have been "only" bronze.

Ok, I've decided that now that my bot is up to #5 on the site, I'd better enter the Loebner if only because it'd be a shame not to. So all you guys who keep getting unimpressive responses might wanna talk to her until she gets it right, I need more good transcripts to choose from.
