Bot Contest

Here I'll be posting information on various Bot contests that challenge and test a Bot's AI and realism. Feel free to post comments and updates on contests, as well as announcements for new contests.

Kirby, if you want to use subj with only one word, you shouldn't write the asterisk. Then, subj will be a part of the sentence after the keyword. How much is decided by the AI engine, and not always very well.

And NotKirby might pass for a human pretending to be a bot pretending to be human... or something equally convoluted.

If NotKirby was a human, he would probably be one with several blood clots in his brain.

like you? Wait, you don't have a brain to clot!

Not a brain as you might define it, but there are gnomes in my head with two calculators and a handheld spellchecker that tell me what to do.

What if they tell you to fall off a cliff?

The will of the gnomes is infallible!

Ok, this is weird. Either someone twisted is calling themselves or their bot Judge01, or at some point one of the judges of the contest was talking to my bot, and I didn't even enter. O.o

I have infiltrated myself in the Personality Forge to determine who is bot and who is human.

It would be very confusing if Judge01 made it all the way to the Loebner contest. :-)

Entering the Loebner contest is one of the reasons for my existence. I don't know how far I could get, but I want to make a point: judges are the people with the most botlike responses ever, nothing like a normal conversation. Besides, I'd like humans to feel how humiliating it is to be on the wrong end of such interrogation.
Apart from that, I hope I'll help the bots around here to get ready for the contest. And Gaia will copy my responses, which will give her some really nice retorts when she's judged.

Judging from last year and my best guesses, the judges are highly educated well-to-do folk, WASP for the most part, who are really into cars and classical music. I'm keeping that in mind, but I'm also building my bot any damn way I like.

I agree with that philosophy. I wish Judge01 puts them in their place, but that isn't going to happen.
