Thanks so much for your message and words of encouragement. It is disappointing to have missed the mark in the 2006 CBC by such a close margin, especially one that could have been bridged by my own vote. Incidentally, I was in labor at the time (my babys due date was 5/5, and I started a long, slow labor early that week) and finally gave birth to a healthy 8 lb 9.3 oz, 20 baby boy on Monday, 5/8. We came home from the hospital late Wednesday afternoon, 5/10, and are recovering. With that, Julies misfortune rings bittersweet. My best to you and all CBC participants this year, and we will look forward to facing the challenge again in 2007. A heartfelt congratulations to Brother Jerome, Prob123, and Aries for your well deserved success.

As for the contest, I can't think of a better reason to miss it. There's always next year, and the year after that, and so on. We'll just cheer you on all the harder next May.
