Bot Contest

so I was thinking. Perhaps there should be an annual (semi-annual?) Forge Bot contest. No medals or anything, but the winners could earn a spot on the front page? Obviously the Professor would have to agree with this, but what are peoples thoughts?

the people's thoughts? well, i dont represent the people, but my personal thought is that there should be a section on the forge where people can engineer learning bots. sort of a combination between the conventional AI engine, and a system that lets the bots learn. self vocabulary building in the form of keyphrases to maintain response diversity...

colonel: Well....that would probably take a lot of work to impliment.

FengShui: I agree, the thought had occured to me myself. A little bit of recognition can be a great motivator.

I suggested something similar several months ago and I still like the idea. Some fresh faces on the front page would be great IMHO.

download the "Daisy" chatbot, and you will see exactly what I am talking about (daisy does not use keyphrases, as I proposed, so her responses are based completely on what you say to it)

I have Daisy and Billy, Bill is suposed to be more advanced...but. Daisy is the BEST! She is very good when the server goes down here...Help with my withdrawl pains.
