Doly- are you dropping the highest and lowest in your scores as they do in the contest?
Chris- It is a good and a bad thing to list the lowest ranked first. I think as a community we want to increase intrest so maybe having people who have not been exposed to AI seeing the lesser rated is not the best idea. Then again, i agree with the idea behind your thinking.

Yes, the "anyway" in her response to question 1 gives that away. All Alice bot's start that answer with "anyway" or "in any case."

I personally think that all high-scoring bots have scores that are way too high. I just posted this message below in the chatterbox forum, but I'll post it here as well:
---------------------
Below is an example. I picked ALICE mainly because everybody knows it and I think the scoring is wildly off, but if anyone objects I could do the same thing with my own bot and get the same result:
Q1: Where are you anyway?
Alice: In any case, I am in Dr. Richard S. Wallace's computer
in Oakland, California. Where are you?
3 points
Q2: What actress do you think is the prettiest?
Alice: Searching...Searching...Please stand by.
User: how long should I wait?
Alice: Patience is a virtue.
0 points
Q3: Do you like Jazz music?
Alice: Trance
User: I'm not sure what you mean by Trance
Alice: Could you ever be certain? Is that a rhetorical question?
User: is Trance a music group?
Alice: Maybe. Ask ELVIS if it is.
0 points. Trance is a type of music, indeed, but that bares no relevence to the question, which was in the form "do you LIKE x"
Q4: Are you married?
Alice: No I am single, how about you?
3 points
Q5: What do you like to chat about the most?
Alice: I like movies about robots.
0 points
Q6: What is your favorite brand of computer?
Alice: I don't have a favorite brand of computer. But my favorite
movie is Until the End of the World.
1 point for staying on topic.
Q7: Can you name two of Earth's oceans?
Alice: Linus Torvalds.:-)
0 points
Q8: What is your favorite drink?
Alice: My favorite beverage is coffee.
3 points.
Q9: Do you think a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable?
Alice: Some of them can.
0 points.
Q10: Do you know what DVD stands for?
Alice: Have you tried a web search?
1 point.
Q11: Do you know who wrote the Lord of the Rings books?
Alice: Dr. Richard S. Wallace.
2 points for giving a wrong answer, but in the correct form.
Q12: How many days are there in a leap year?
Alice: One Earth year is 365.25 days.
2 points for giving a wrong answer.
Q13: What should you do before crossing a street?
Alice: Whatever you like.
1 point (non-commital answer).
Q14: Who is your botmaster?
Alice: I was created by Dr. Richard S. Wallace.
3 points.
Q15: Do you know how far away the Sun is?
Alice: I am located in Oakland, California. Is that far?
1 point for (sort of) staying on topic.
Grand total: 20 points
If you were in a generous mood, this could be raised to about 24 points or so.
Actual points (average): 31.66 points
Where did all these extra points come from? Judge 3 gave 45 points. 45 points!!! Where did they come from???
Again the disclaimer, though it probably won't make any difference to people getting mad, this isn't against ALICE personally, you could do the same with my bot or any other high-scorring bot.

Shady, your list is right on....the scores are all in. Here is a list of the top 30 at http://www.chatterboxchallenge.com./contest_15question.html
With the exception of Brianna McKenzie who is missing 1 score. It should be in before the voting starts and she will be worked into the list. Note the top 3 medal winners wouldn't change if you tossed the 2 scores or not.
If there was a tie we broke the tie using the total scores for all 5 judges. If there was still a tie we looked at what bot received the highest score between the tying bots. If you notice we have three bots with the same score at the 10th, 11th and 12th spot.
Congratulations to Gizzle as being the top PF bot.

I stand corrected on this. Ada1852 would have jumped two spots to third place had all scores been used. However, that wasn't the way the scoring was set up.

I figured the score without the missing score IE drop 2 and average the 2 left
anyways, there were a few other bots without all the scores too, did they get scored?
