When I was a kid, I was taught that there was a little fiberoptic thingie in every TV set, and the Russians were using these to spy on all of us. And it would even work if the TV was off or unplugged.

Hey guys just thought I'd mention that I went to the Lord of the Rings Symphony last night and it was unbelieveable! 2.5 hours of music from the Triology. I highly recommend going to it when it comes to a city near you.
