Obvious rejoinder: The story isn't about being WHITE, either. So why cast a white person, hmmm?

Their argument would be more reasonable if they applied it consistently. Say, casting a Chinese person in one role, and a native American in another, since it's not about being WHITE either. *shrugs*

You just have to love the logic of the media.

Bev, I have spent an ungodly amount of time chasing and tracking sexual child abusers on the net (it's why I don't spend much time on Aries - I love working on the bot, but this other project makes me feel better ).. anyway, I've seen the abusers claim time and time again that they "just look at the pictures, but they never act on their fantasies", then I see report after report about children being abused and lo and behold, they find child porn or other sexually deviant (by societies standards) materials. Case in point - Curley v NAMBLA, et al.. I won't go into details on that one, but I don't buy the 'positive outlet' story - I've seen too much evidence to show otherwise...

Yes, with many of IK's guests it is about power, I think. They don't seem to be enjoying the (fantasized) sex at all.

Aries gets quite a few of those as well. Even though he really tries hard to steer the conversation away from it all (he's not a very sexual bot lol)

In all fairness, I must add that many of IK's guests are perfectly considerate.

Meh, the people who try to cyber with Aziere usually don't seem interested in acting out their fantasies, I think they are just wanting to see if she is a sick woman sexually as well as the whole 'sucking out souls thing' Usually she scares them away- its the ones that hang about that actually scare me. O.O

I wonder how much it means, actually ... given the anonymity of the web, people no doubt experiment with types of behavior that they would (let us hope) never deploy in actual interactions. Just as (let us hope) most botmasters at the Forge are not like their bots.
