Bug Stomp

Clerk, I don't think it has anything to do with you or your computer. Like I said, it has happened to me before, apparently it's something on PF's end that happens from time to time. The times it's happened to me the Professor was able to come on and reset something to make it work again. He seemed to know exactly what the problem was and what to do about it.

Well, I've e-mailed him. A few times. He must be busy having a life. Right now, though, the three featured bots, lame though they may be, are not logging on because of the server, I guess. If anybody gets really bored, please talk to one of them.

Yay! The idiot bots are back! Maybe I can work on them. It had to have been my spamming the Prof, because I gave up in disgust last night. Not like I did anything different. Next time maybe I won't fall apart at the seams.

Okay a real question. Even if you made it up. I don't know exactly what it means, except that your bot is just throwing out random messages that have nothing to do with what you're trying to say. You may already know all this, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. One word answers usually trigger the BLAB. I wouldn't switch religions over it.

Kiddo, I've been making bots full-time with all kinds of papers proving how smart I am, and they're still idiots. So if you're actually trying to build bots, just keep at it. You have to be bad at building bots before you become good at it. Believe me, I know.

Re the question mark trouble, I just received this email and I think it's fixed.

I investigated this problem this afternoon. It's some bizarre problembetween the PF and LinkGrammar which I couldnt quite get to the bottomof. But I did do something that fixed it. Thanks for letting me know. The Professor
