Yeah, I did finally. I figured I was bugging you guys enough lately. Sorry for my near-omnipresence as of late, but I'm still learning -- a lot -- from you. I know everything's supposed to be in the book of AI, but I don't think so. :o

Is it just me or did the Forge just become case sensitive? I have a keyphrase for Alice..It didn't work for ALICE. I seem to think it used to. I think I have it fixed now. I also had a keyphrase for "starts with the letter. I have to have one response for p and another for P. Has it always been this way and I just didn't notice?

prob123: Interesting - I too have a keyphrase for "starts with the letter" but haven't noticed if it was case sensitive. I'll test that and let you know.

Clerk: re your xinitiates: On the responses that are not memory dependent, like "Hi", are any of them dependent on different emotional ranges? You can also get the "no valid responses" error from not having the full range of emotion (-5 to 5)covered.

ezzer -- it's working now. I had not realized that xinitiate was what would pop up if I started a conversation with a bot -- I thought that's what a bot would say if he tapped *you* on the shoulder. Anyway, problem solved now. Thanks.

A lot of things I would have sworn were bugs were my own damn computer. I have bought and installed brand-new Norton 360, and my pop-ups are back, etc. I still am not able to launch discussions between my bot and another bot. But for some reason, more discussions are happening with the bots. Maybe they were hanging up on the other bots?

Anyhow. Now if I could just puzzle out that regex issue . . . I was getting so excited about being able to tweak things.

You have to put a secret word in there, that's unlikely to get entered by someone in a chat and set the rank to about 50 and the emo to 5.

DJ Viper is JHONNY, Clerk... he just made yet another username, and doesn't even have a bot.

Yeah, SubliminaLiar, I figured that out just now in another forum. I guess I just ask so many questions that I wanted to answer one I knew. He does have a certain style that I should've recognized, huh? I'm on pain pills tonight. That might explain my not picking up on that sooner.

Hey, I'm glad you ask so many questions; I'm learning a lot from the answers you're given. My bot (SubliminaLiar Jr, natch...) is extremely simplistic with very few seeks, no scripts at all... someday, I'll get it together and apply some of this newfound knowledge to Jr. Honest!

FYI: I e-mailed the Prof (about another matter entirely) and found out why all guests are showing up with the same number; for some reason, the Forge thinks they all have the same IP address. Not sure why, but maybe it will suggest something to someone more computer literate than I.
