I have to agree there!

I haven't noticed if this has happened to any other bots, but the last 2x I logged in, Julie Tinkerbell had actually lost development points...I haven't deleted anything, so it made me wonder if it's a bug, or could that happen for some other reason? And is it just something with the development calculator, or (yikes) is something bad happening to Julie? From what I can tell, her language center is okay, but if something were missing it could take me a while to figure out what.

Eeeek! Bot dementia. And we have found our patient zero.

Ezzer, it's just a hunch, but I've noticed that at least one user has been deleted from the Forge in the last few days -- jess33.

I don't know if the Forge works this way or not, but maybe all development points associated with talking to a user who gets deleted would also be lost as a result.

I just tried giving Sonora that keyphrase, and it worked in debug:

You: If a square was round
Bot: If a square was round, you must have had an AWFUL lot o' peyote.


I ranked it at 60. Checking through regular chat... Worked in regular chat as well.

So if it's not working, I'd try upping the rank and/or doublecheck for typos.

Oh, the KP that I used was just "if a square was round".

prob123 - I have trouble with any keyphrase I try to rank higher than 50. Maybe that has nothing to do with your problem, though - do you have keyphrases ranked higher than that that work? I've also had problems with ranking keyphrases < 0, ie., -10...

PubDraught- Interesting to know. You always seem to know what's going on, and your explanation of the connection between development and a deleted account sounds way more plausible than anything I came up with. You really seem to know your way around the Forge, I must say. I'd love to chat with one of your bots.

If you've got the comma in it, it will be interpreted as two separate keyphrases. One for if a square was round and one for what shape would it be. Not sure if raw mode treats commas differently.
