Go look in your own router gateway Prob123, How do I do that? *hides head in shame of ignorance.*
find that catch phrase funny? *hums Gimme a break of that kitkat bar.
Go look in your own router gateway
That rather assumes Prob has a local network - if it's just one PC and a modem, there won't be a router to tinker with.

Yes, I've been assuming that Prob has at least a home "gateway" with DSL or some equal level of Internet access (by me, AT&T shipped free 2Wire home portals with every DSL order so almost everyone has a router/firewall/modem gateway whether they have a "network" or not). I am not sure what choices you have in Canada you have, Prob, but if you're on the Internet all the time you have a firewall and a gateway of some kind, right? Or do you just hook your computer directly up to a modem?
If you do have a router, you should be able to open your browser and type in the IP of the gateway (or with 2wire you can type in http://homeportal). If you use a modem and dial in, bless you. I would never have the patience to be here if I did not have DSL (those with satellite or cable surely connect through some gateway?). I'll admit again I am not a tech person. I just point and click until I get what I want.

I have an old Canadian made cicero computer with a dial up conection that is lucky to get 28.5Kbps, usually it runs around 26. Out here in the country we have no choices..ha ha. Telus says we may have high speed dial up in about three years or more. We could get sat. but it cuts out every min or so..it drives you nuts on the TV. I can't picture having the net crash that often!

Cable companies aren't to happy about laying 200 to 1000 kilometers of cable for two or three houses.

Forgot to say that the Prof said he fixed the table errors this morning. Haven't seen any errors since that, but maybe I've been lucky.

I wouldn't want to have to puzzle that out, but it's kind of a work of art!

I used to be able to use an apostrophy in a keyphrase if I used a slash \. ie, your mother's name, Russell's Paradox. I can't now it just goes into error.
