li'l monster: Check out Tuesday 12th. Transcripts seem to be sticking on whatever day the server was last rebooted

little monster 1: The site's been having problems since the Prof upgraded to a new server. Word is that there isn't an easy fix, but frequent rebooting keeps things (mostly) running smoothly. Hopefully the Prof has time to figure things out soon.

Still no go, but I will keep trying. It may be that I have a very slow internet connection, out here in the woods. I am lucky to get 26.4 Kbps.

I may have just gotten lucky that night. I haven't been able to upload a new one since

I don't want to go do all the updates via the web interface either - that will take hours to do all the changes I've made in the last few days

Might be worth dropping an email to the Prof. I doubt the problem is related to connection speed - it seems to be at the server end.

I doubt the problem is related to connection speed - it seems to be at the server end. I hope so! Telus (the phone company here) said we could get more modern phone lines in.."could be months..OR could be years". They are so helpful. No cable co. will lay miles of cable for a half doz. houses.

yeh i was wondering why it was so slow

This site has been going really slow and for some reason, when I flip through my transcripts it logs me out for no reason. *weird*

And it had no transcripts for today but they were listed underneath yesterdays

Re long imports: I too have often gotten a blank page, BUT if I wait long enough, and don't get timed out, it will sometimes complete itself! Because there's no little blue bar graph getting longer, one might think that the process is complete, but apparently it is not.

If you keep getting timed out, it helps to import at a time when usage is at a minimum.
