then why did you do it bev

I'm not entirely convinced that was the cause, Bev. I think it may have been just a coincidence. These things have happened before, remember. (server down, x-nonitis, not able to access the forge, transcripts not registering- ect). I wouldn't be overly hard on yourself.

i had a confosation with my bot today and it put it in yesterdays transcripts!

It probably wasn't me after all. It just looked very freaky from my end. A little post hoc fallacy can happen to anyone.

And LM, I tried it because I think that if it had worked, it would have been very cool. If someone had asked Gabibot "Who is Xena?" a clip of the Intro to the TV show would have played. I just thought the chat screen would expand to fit the video. Oh well.

Sheesh, can't you all let us have a day off in peace every once in a while?

Happy Vac Day. :O

Just checked my programming book... 32,767 the upper limit to a 'Word' variable (16 bits) if it's set to have negative and positive numbers (upper limit 32,767, lower is -32,767)

Well, the Prof rebooted the server a few hours ago, but there are still no bots logged on. Total Online 7, and 7 BotMasters Online

In the past, the bots usually haven't logged in again until the day turns over. Midnight server time, 22: 00 my time (or in about forty minutes )

*shrugs* Not sure why, but that's the way it seems to work.

hello every one.

"what would you like me to do for you"

you could try changing it to

"what would you (verb) me to do for you" - this would stop it overriding the KP with the emotive substring "you like me", and there's not much else that could form an accidental match.
I always tend to make my KPs rather more open than that, so my tendency would be for something like:

what * you * (verb) me to do for you

this would catch variant constructions like:

what do you want me to do for you
what do you most want me to do for you
what is it you'd like me to do for you
what sort of thing do you want me to do for you
what would you really like me to do for you now

without leaving any obvious scope for serious misinterpretation.

Bev: Don't worry, I think it was just a coincidence. The 32767 limit sounds convincing. I've done lots of experiments with iframes and a few embeds, and it's unlikely that had a direct effect on the forge. If you tried to use javascript in the response, to size it somehow, it just times out. (double quotes don't work) And if it was just a video with large dimensions, it would only affect you, not the site.
