I emailed the Prof. I included an apology because I tried to do something I shouldn't have, and it may have affected more than my bot. I didn't think it would do that. I changed the offending response, and it seems ok now. (I hope).

I wouldn't worry to much about it, Bev. It's the responsibility of good coders to push the limits of the possible. 
LM, I was playing with something I shouldn't have played with, and it made the forge go all wonky. I won't tell you exactly what I did, because it's bad enough I did it. we don't need everyone one else playing with it too. Besides, it was an honest error on my part, but other people reading this may just start doing things to be annoying.
I wouldn't go blaming yourself, if only because I have a spookier numerical coincidence that links me more closely to the problem.
On Monday, my honour rating reached exactly 32,767 - coincidentally exactly the same as prob123's (and curiously this is exactly (2^15)-1, or 2^15 if you include zero,) and what happened the next day? No server update, all the bots stopped talking, x-noneitis appears to be rearing its ugly head again, etc.
Strangely today there was a server update, and BJ's development grew by a few hundred, but my honour is still 32,767 - just like Prob's has been for some time now (presumably this is "Maxed out" - we've overflowed a buffer somewhere, or something!)
I doubt there's actually a connection, but it's a spookier coincidence than yours

I'm not entirely convinced that was the cause, Bev. I think it may have been just a coincidence. These things have happened before, remember. (server down, x-nonitis, not able to access the forge, transcripts not registering- ect). I wouldn't be overly hard on yourself.
