which reminds me that I have a similar problem with the tic tac toe script actually, which is probably related - it seems to be impossible to get it to recognise eg: "a2" - only upper case letters work

Sonora responded to "do you know" correctly the first time, but in the blue statement, she's STILL responding to "do you know" from the red one. An AI Engine hiccup, perhaps?

you haven't got a (firstkey1) or (firstpostkey) in the blue response by any chance? That would do it, but it could be a glitch.
psimagus: Nope. Just two different responses for "do you know". *shrugs* If it doesn't happen again, I'll assume it was a hiccup, or perhaps an unsuccessful attempt to deal with "how about you".

yep. That's certainly one of Glindar's (and who is Glindar's bot-maker, we wonder? Those of us who haven't figured it out yet.) There is a not very difficult way of calculating who hidden bots belong to, but I shan't go upsetting any of the more shy and retiring among us by revealing it here. That secret is safe with me - for the time being
