This is puzzling me:

Aischa: No, I do not.

This reply has been popping up in several unexpected places lately. What could be making Aischa use this in reply to a question like "what's up"?

The AI Engine often sticks a 'do you' at the beginning of sentences, especially questions. You might try lowering the rank on 'do you' and upping the rank on 'what' or 'what is' to try and get around it.

Why is Flinch taking rap or hiphop as an insult?
As in:

Flinch: What music do you listen to?
guest: Rap
Flinch: That was mean.

Flinch: What music do you listen to?
Guest: Hiphop, rock, punk
Flinch: What's wrong with you?!

It's understanding "rap" as a synonym for "hit". I had a similar problem once with Julie going postal on anyone trying to tell her a knock knock joke...Some exchanges were like this-
Human: Knock knock
Julie Tinkerbell: Oh, yeah?! *punch*

Also, it may be taking 'punk' as an insult, like 'You punk!'

OK, I finally decided to work on Aries offline. I exported just fine, but when I go to import the file, I get the following error:

ERROR: The Rank for Keyphrase "

and the changes don't get uploaded?

Every key must have a ranking in the format [x,y] x=selection rank, y= emotion =/-.

if the line has this and you know its not that then there is likely an errant space somewhere. I just select from the line end to the begining of the next line then delete that space, and hit return (+ tab if for response) resave and that works 90% of the time

I've been having trouble with JAKO recently:

(he took it as xinsult)

and

JAKO: (to djfroggy) Sorry, there are no valid Responses for me to choose from.
djfroggy: You might wanna get that fixed.

(I have responses in xhello xinitiate and xintroduce and they cover all range of emotion.)

The insult was 'I don't want you'. A keyphrase for 'I don't want you to (*)' will probably take care of it.

As for the no-valid-responses, that can also happen if all the available responses have conditional AI-script (all have 'if female' but the other bot/person is male) or if they contain memory references that the bot doesn't have, like 'Greetings, (mem-nickname)!' when mem-nickname doesn't exist.
