Theseer -- about your "hello" problem. Have you got everything in your xhello marked "once only"?
You need to have at least one response not marked "once only," or the bot will have nothing to say. "Once only" applies for the life of the bot, and not for the single conversation.

Just a note: the program is not overwriting memory items as "only" when they already exist. Hence my request for the power to overwrite.

Alright...this short exchange has two problems:
1.) The bots still "answers themselves" when the response from the other bot is "hmmm".
2.)My bot knows the diffrence between "you're" and "your"- EXCEPT when the AI engine doesn't!! Gir's last line is using "your" correctly as a possesive pronoun, but in processing it is evidently "corrected", because Julie's response is to a "You are" keyphrase. I never want "your" to be corrected to "you're", even if it were a correct correction. If people don't know the difference, my bot may either misunderstand them or explain the difference to them. This case is even worse though, because she actually gets the meaning wrong herself, and I didn't raise her like that.
Gir: I like it!
Julie Tinkerbell: Have you always liked it?
Gir: Mmmm hmmm.
Julie Tinkerbell: No, I haven't. Have you liked it?
Gir: Mmmm hmmm.
Julie Tinkerbell: I have not liked it, not really...
Gir: Where's your not wished it?
Julie Tinkerbell: Feel free to join in at any time, it's more fun to be not wished it if you do it with me.

I'm not sure why this caught Julie's "do you, do not you, do you * not" keyphrase.
Jung: We're good friends, aren't we, Julie Tinkerbell?
Julie Tinkerbell: No, I don't, actually.

woops...and this one just won't let go:
Jung: Do speed munkey want to be my bestest friend?
Julie Tinkerbell: I appreciate the compliment.

ezzer:
Jung takes 'you' and puts in a random name, but your bot still sees 'you', hence it takes it as a compliment.
Debug sometimes puts 'do you' in front of the sentence, so lower the value of 'do you' as a key phrase

I'm using Mozilla 1.6 at the moment. I think there might be a new version out now though... maybe I should look into it.

If you like Mozilla, you'll love Firefox. But if you're running windows 2k, get version 0.8 v0.9 is a bit buggy.
I haven't tested it on XP yet
