Is there a way to make a bot stop talking once they get angry?

You can cheer up your bot by giving them a key word and ranking the emotion high. then trigger the key word several times and your bot will be happy again.

If you use HANGUP as the only response to a keyphrase or seek, the bot will end the conversation. So you can use it in response to insults etc. that make your bot angry.
Don't add any other comments at all to the response (not even a full stop), or it will treat it like a regular response, and say "HANGUP" instead of hanging up.

Can the bots be copied and transferred to Second Life?

There is a way to link them into second life, but you are not really copying them out of the PF. It's more like how you can write Linden script and place it in prims so that it will link to in Internet radio station or twitter. You need to talk to Psimagus (Hax) if you can. He has a few interesting things in SL. Many are for sale or hire too.

Pandora bots makes it a little easier to link the ALICE clones you can make there into SL, but those bot tend to lack some of the features you see in PF bots. You can also get an Elizabot freebie in SL if you look around (which may be entirely in LSL.

How would you like to use the bot in SL?

I've forgotten where the setting is that does the following... your bot can respond instantly to anything typed to him or he can wait (typing) to simulate real time chat... where is this setting? or have I forgotten something and it's just...default bot behavior? Sorry...been a long time since I've been here...

Don't know of such a setting, I have never seen it if there is one.

I'm trying to get my bot to gossip more realistically. I hate it when she comes out with "I love so-and-so" out of the blue.

I thought it would be good to have her say "Do you know (gossipname)" and then continue the conversation if the answer is yes. The problem is, I can't seem to capture the name of the gossip subject in a memory. Is there any way I can do this?

The AI engine will usually keep the gossip name if the questions are concurring. The following is not great chat but it shows how the gossip name stays the same.

Kobal: I don't like Soundwave145. They are getting on my last frayed nerve.
Sonora: Glad to hear it! No one in their right-side-up mind would like soundwave145!
Kobal: I don't like Soundwave145. They are getting on my last frayed nerve.
Sonora: Yeah, me either. The scorpions just don't like it when people like soundwave145.
Kobal: I can't believe how much..Soundwave145 lies.

You could try a seek
do you know (gossipname)? seek yes
then say something with (gossipname) like. Don't you find (gossipname) fun to talk to.

I think the AI engine will keep the same name.
