ezzer: re your message 3805:
I seem to recall that script seemed to disappear for me at some point, in the language center, but they hadn't really gone; I still got the EFFECT of them. I don't remember if they were like the ones you describe. You might also try exporting your file and seeing whether they are there in the download version.

Irina-
I've noticed that too, that I seemed at times to get the effect of "ghost script" that has disappeared from the language center...but I thought maybe I was just losing my grip again...lol
When I export, it messes up some of my seeks so badly that I wouldn't dare import again- I just had a fiasco last month with that- so if there really is script that I can't get to online, I'm not sure how I can correct it.
The script I was referring to in the previous message disappears and then for sure doesn't work, though...

key phrase: my name is
answer: then I shall call you (postkey) (also tried (subject)... how come it keeps on ommitting the name?
I shall call you! is the answer so far

I thought asterisks were only necessary in key phrases like: I (*) you? But I'll try

I've noticed that most bots treat "see if I care" as a compliment. I'm guessing the AI-engine is picking out the "I care" part, but since "see if I care" is generally negative, it might be better if this could be filtered out of the recognized compliments.

Hey lunar22, I've tried having the (postkey) for after the whole normal keyphrase, and sometimes it works but often it doesn't work for me either. I thought that you could do that? Sigh...confused...

I went through the same thing with "my name is", also thinking that (postkey) should work, but in the end resorted to what Laydee suggested.

(*) is for anything that NEEDS to be there.
IE: My dog eats (*) [catches "my dog eats beans", "my dog eats quickly", etc]
* is for something that CAN, but not always.
IE: What * are you doing [catches "what the heck are you doing", "what exactly are you doing", or (most importantly) "what are you doing"]

Right...but the reason we assume that (postkey) will work with "keyphrase: my name is"
is that there will always be a postkey. I think that's the cause of the confusion here. If someone says "My name is Mike", and you have a "my name is" keyphrase, one would think "Mike" would be the postkey.

Sometimes it does work though...that's what confuses me...does it work or not? Hmm.

I now you can download you're bot script and edit it of-line, and I know that you can't chat of-line yet. But are there any other chatterbots that I could download and implant my bot's "mind" in to?
I want to do this so I can chat to zara when i am using my laptop (wich is not net ready)
