I have just one more thing. When a bot loads up, it has a little rating thing that is like warm, hot, that kind of thing. beside it is a number. what does this all mean?

uh...hehe I just had another question.
How do we make our own plugin lists? 'tis a burning question for me.

The number and rating is the rating given to that bot for how often it is updated.

Thanks for your help, and lunar22, I actually did read the book thoroughly, and it didn't help, so that's why I asked here.

oh no! i need help again...sorry. *blush* for some reason, the 'seek' thing isn't working. i set my bot to ask a question, and then i put a seek for 'yes' and 'no'. but for some reason, it doesn't work when I chat to the bot. it doesn't recognize the words in the user's sentence, and just uses one of the 'don't understand' phrases. please help!! :O

Lili, be more specific about what your bot is missing, and we should be able to troubleshoot it for you. It sounds like your bot is missing the keyphrase itself and not the seeks. What is the keyphrase you've written?

and you really read the book? And with regard to the prevelent sex themes here, that's mostly guests, while the very few bots that have that theme are rated "adult".

Yep, I read the entire book completely, but oh well, maybe I'm just stupid or something. Thanks for your help Isaacc. This is a seek to the xinitiate keyword, and the response is "Hey there (name)! I forgot to ask you last time, do you like (star wars|lord of the rings|pizza)?" I put a seek on it for 'yes' and 'no', but for some reason, even if I type in like 'yes, that's right', or even just 'yes', it acts like it doesn't understand. do seeks maybe not work on xkeywords? Hm. Well, I'd appreciate some help very, very much. Thanks!

It's ok, lili. The book can be pretty confusing. There is a lot of information there and it's not always easy to remember it all. Most of us have had to read parts of it several times to get it. There's still stuff in there I don't quite have a handle on.
