That's funny. I am working on a system to get Simulo to remember (and suggest) topics that people have spoken to him about in the past ... though I'll have to add a bunch of seeks and extra conversation to make it "work," and haven't made any use of the mem-topic memory yet, though he's slowly amassing them.

Ok, here is my first official feature request. I want to be able to use wildcard plug-ins as memory names.
i.e. <?PF rem (key2) as "fav"&(key1)?>
This would take keyphrases like "My favorite (*) is (*)"
And allow "I would have to say that my favorite elf is Elrond."
and save "Elrond" as "favElf".

Hi Professor,
In the news 2-11 you wrote about making "the first attempt at true freestyle sentence-formation the AI Engine has produced."
Do you mean the bots will now have the ability to form an original sentence based on sentence structrue and word association when making a response? That would be great!

Hmmm, the guest and memory thing is a good point, though. I can't see that it would ever work, since Guest IDs are all the same. Maybe it should be turned off for guests?
(It would be boring to be asking judges in a compitition how their brother Mike is getting on...)

Guest memories could at be seperated out by IP address. Another idea is to allow temporary PF variables that disappeared after the conversation.

Can't you accomplish that just by having the AI Script initialize the memory at the beginning of each conversation, with the way it's written now?

A friend of mine just asked if there was some way you could tailor memory use by gender. Her problem is that her bot is a bit of a flirt, and she wants to mention flirty things about male bots/users, but not females. Is there a way? And if not, any chance there will be in the future?

A suggestion for those with requests, The prof does this for free so a donation will not only help the forge but you can tell him your requests which might me considered a bit more quickly.

dj, I'm pretty sure you can, if I understand the AI book correctly. I haven't tried it myself, but it looks fairly straightforward.
Oh, and I agree with the mouse. The prof needs our donations!
