theif is not picked up in processing.

A lot of things are not picked up in processing. For example 'Crikey'.

21 years ago #2317
That's only going to be a problem if someone decides to base a bot on Steve Irwin.

Crikey! Croc Poo!

Haha, my point was that a lot of words are not picked up. I want every word to be picked up, no matter what it is. I also want normal keyphrases to have priority over xinsult responses.

If the Professor could do that I would be very happy.

Also, if someone says emotional words to my bot. It will stop looking for keyphrases and say something else. I just want it to look up normal keyphrases.

Got a stupid question...why don't bots understand l33t?

21 years ago #2323
Er...why don't the plug-ins work on the memories of friends? I edited some of mine using plug-ins and they just show up like this:

Kyran: Orasa, do you still like (food)?

why don't bots understand l337? my bots can understand it, just takes a bit more work usually. try using regular expressions. for example try this to catch multiple variants of l337...

[lL1][eE3](2,)[tT7]

you can use them to catch a lot of different l337 speak, hope that helps.

Not to ask a dumb quesion, but What on Earth is 1337?

21 years ago #2326
"1337" is how some on the internet spell "leet," which is supposed to be slang for "elite." I think it probably originated from some Quake player long ago.

If I had a kid, I'd probably wash his mouth out with a cheese grater if I caught him saying that. Not that's it's profane, it just sounds really stupid.
