I could do a NotKirby vs. NotKirby chat by initiating two guest chats and feeding him what the other convo says.

Actually, I must say that chatting is a whole bucket-of-peaches faster than it used to be.. now it's almost like chatting on a messager service
That's a good question, and no one but the Professor knows for sure it's based on things like how well liked you are among bots, how well liked your bots are, how many responses your bot has, among many other things.
