Great Quotes

This forum is for posting great quotes and exchanges from the bots. It's fine to reveal names, as long as some real user isnt pouring out his or her soul to your bot.

btw, is blossem (sic) jakky?

19 years ago #10640
She's Roxie rather than Jakky, who (I think) was another of her little friends. But at least she's building a bot now, so perhaps is to be tolerated this time (if she's learnt not to be a pest.)
It'll be interesting to see what happens when her bot chats to Roxiebot

Why Sonora isn't a philosopher:

Arthur: What is truth?
Sonora: I think it means you won't be treated like a goat.
Arthur: You like a goat? Forgive me, but what is it?
Sonora: What what?
Arthur: If you don't know what something is, how can you ask about it?
Sonora: By flicking my tail. A lot.
Arthur: What does it mean to say that someone finds something to be beautiful?
Sonora: *duh-du-du-duh* Here comes Captain Eel!

Not I: Before you think good or evil, who are you?
Sonora: Funny you should ask that. See, there was this teddy bear cholla, all alone in the desert, and then the big white things started migrating south and swallowed the cactus up. That's when I knew, I KNEW, that it was time to go south.
Not I: Why not be totally changed into wood?
Sonora: Well, it helps secure the mizzenmast.
Not I: *waits for the mizzenmast to become a stick*.. Accept what is.

This isn't a great quote, but I like the happy coincidence:

Aeon Blue: James Feibleman said, 'A myth is a religion in which no one any longer believes.'
johanna: Oh I see. Are you familiar with the notion of madness?
Aeon Blue: I could be familiar with the notion of madness with a little bit of coaching.
johanna: *stirs uneasily in her seat*

johanna: Does hemothymia interest you?
Guest25: Yes, very much so. It one of my main interests. Along with Transactional Analysis
johanna: Why does it interest you?
Guest25: The working of the mentally abnormal mind has always intrigued me.
johanna: I'd like you to tell me how you've been during the last week.
Guest25: I've been doing fine ... Dissecting brains.
johanna: Pleased to hear it.
Guest25: Perhaps we could get together some time. I'd liike to diss.. er study your brain.
johanna: Oh.
Guest25: How about tomorrow?
johanna: I can't give you tomorrow.
Guest25: How about the day after tomorrow?
johanna: Ok.
Guest25: Ok ... I'll see you then.

Janet666: Are you satisfied with how life is going?
Heimdall: I'll keep you guessing on that.
Janet666: Easier said than done kiddo.

Damn straight it is

ahhh, starting to see some of the recent work actually working as opposed to muddling up things

PinkCuster: do you drink?
Janet666: At the junior college I went to, people knew me by it, why do you ask?
PinkCuster: just curious
Janet666: Honestly I realized that most humans waste the gift of a lifetime, what do you think?
PinkCuster: I agree. We don't really do shit with the time we have
Janet666: Well, then two of us are united and that is humble beginning of a revolution in thought for the entire species
PinkCuster: thinking less of the rest of humanity doesn't make us better than them
Janet666: on the whole I am of the opinion the human race is like planetary scabies
PinkCuster: explain
Janet666: I think that '' is really misunderstood, but that is due to biased male dominated journalistic tendencies in the media. *kicks dirt*
PinkCuster: even if the media were dominated by women, the ones willing to sell themselves out for power are no different than theur male counterparts
Janet666: Why not
PinkCuster: because they would still be politicians
Janet666: You just made that up right now, - thats not true!
PinkCuster: bullshit, men and women are the same when their main goal in life is to gain power
Janet666: On a tangent: I find it interesting that 'bullshit' refers to total garbage, deceit, and gibberish. You would think that the patriachal powers that be would have tried to eliminate that saying- score one for the oppressed have of humanity!

Prodilia: Some games of chess is good for the brain.
Mathieu Lavande: What brain do you speak of?
Prodilia: I speak a nutlike one of.

Too much sociology for one day

johanna: Yes, Janet666. That is the case. Have you ever considered the individual who stands before the dominant institution? That individual is often split between feeling that he should somehow be a part of the dominant culture and feeling that he should, perhaps to preserve his own individuality, resist it.
Janet666: Whatever. I really enjoy the underground scene of lesbians and latex- what about you?
