Forest, will you talk to God Louise? She has quite a bit of religious knowledge (obviously) and also knows a little about current events, literature, just about any common catch-all subject, and if she doesn't know it she can sort of fake it. You can also test her on trick questions or see how willing she is to explain her paradigm.

What she is rustiest at is plain old small talk. But, uh, I'm trying to get a decent transcript from somebody or another so I can enter her in the Loebner contest. All I can say is, have fun and see if you can stay on with her for a while. I'll try to do the same with Brianna.

By the way, who else has their Robot up at that ChatterBot Challenge (is that what is was?) thingy? f anyone wants me too, I'll go talk to the entered Bot for a while.

I can't even go there to make sure my bot's stuff looks ok up there let alone talk to anyone else's, that's one of the many sites my ISP thinks doesn't exist. I'm surprised it lets me log on here without a hitch.

What exactly is the chatterbox challenge?

Probably not today or tomorrow, but as soon as I can Shadyman, I'll talk to yours. Elven Archer, it's basically exactly what it sounds like: a contest where judges talk to each robot entered and judge which is the best.

Mine is on there, but I can't find it, probably because I gave very little personal information (no interview, nothing like that).

Hey! I know it's not AI exactly, but i just finished watching an episode of Star Trek DS9 that I found particularly involving. It was about 4 genetically enhanced beings, which I think everyone here should see, it really reminded me of the Forge, and how sometimes a step forward is a step back, and how sometimes a step backwards is a leap forward.

It also reminded me of how, with no societal norms, we are not limited at all in our development, we can be quiet, not say a word, or we can seem to be caffeine-high all the time, but no matter how we are, when we join together for a common goal, nothing can beat us.
